Love Letters, a reader's theatre piece by Pulitzer Prize nominated playwright A. R. Gurney, follows Andrew Makepeace Ladd, III and Melissa Gardner from childhood friends through the last days of Melissa's life, . Over the years, their correspondence goes from elementary school birthday party invitations and thank-you notes to terse, touching, and romantic letters, relaying a love and tenderness that neither of them can ever truly move beyond.
Director Steve Dietrich will be holding auditions for our season extra on Monday and Tuesday, December 15th and 16th, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Barn in the Park. Steve is planning to have three separate casts, with each cast performing one time for each of the show's performances weekends. Each cast will consist of one man and one woman, of flexible age ranges.
Love Letters will be presented January 30th through February 1st and February 6th through 8th, 2026, with performances starting at 8:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2:00 PM on Sundays. Love Letters is presented through special arrangement through Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
