Turnpike Elementary School's Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Orientations will be held during the last week of August 2025. Both orientations will be "drop-in" style, so you may stop by Turnpike Elementary whenever it is convenient during the scheduled time blocks. You and your student should plan to be at the school for approximately 20 minutes.
đź“…Kindergarten Orientation - Wednesday, August 27
~Drop in to Turnpike Elementary any time between 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
Please bring the following with you:
~Your student's school supplies. You will be able to leave these at school.
~Completed district paperwork (Emergency Info/Dismissal & Health, Medical Authorization Release). Please complete all sides of the forms.
~A change of clothes for your child in a labeled Ziploc bag to be kept at school in case of emergencies.
~Transportation plans (see below).
1) School Bus: All kindergarten students can take the school bus and families are encouraged to take advantage of this option. Bring your child's backpack so that it can be labeled with a bus tag for the first day of school.
2) Drop Off/Pick Up: Your child's teacher will show you where the dismissal doors are located. Please ensure your paperwork is complete with the names of all people authorized to pick up your child.
đź“…Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK4) Orientation - Thursday, August 28
~Drop in to Turnpike Elementary any time between 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Your child's teacher will show you where the dismissal doors are located. Please ensure your paperwork is complete with the names of all people authorized to pick up your child.
