Gibberish is so excited to host a free improv workshop with experienced improviser and artistic director Tim Orr.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: TAKING YOUR TIME/SLOWING DOWN
Someone once asked Jimi Hendrix what made his guitar playing so unique and powerful, and he replied “I
think it’s the pauses”. What does that mean for us as improvisers?
When we take our time on stage, it gives time for surprising and wonderful things to fill the “empty spaces”. In this workshop, we’ll work on paying attention to ourselves and each other, and moving through our scenes in a relaxed and confident way. The stage belongs to you, so make the time on stage YOURS!
WHEN: Monday 26 and Tuesday 27, January 2026, at 18-21.
WHERE: ISAK kultursenter (follow the signs at the entrance), Prinsens gate 44, Trondheim.
WHO can attend: Everyone from 16 years old and up. No experience required for the first day as it will be an intro to the topic, whereas the second day is more targeted to more experienced improvisers. If you are an experienced improviser we strongly recommed you join both days to ensure a shared learning experience**.
HOW: We would love if you could send us an email to
c3R5cmV0IHwgZ2liYmVyaXNoICEgbm8= and sign up in advance, but you can also show up on the days of the workshop.
*ISAK is a drug-and-alcohol-free place and we love it that way!
** Become a member and support our free Improv initiatives! It only costs 100 kr and you can VIPPS us at #86376 Gibberish.
