TEA and T - with Prokhor Gusev

Prokhor Gusev invites people to talk about the taboo topic of transgender experience with a cup of tea. You are welcome to ask weird or even “stupid” questions — about both TEA and T*
*T = transgenderness / trans experience

With origins from Russian culture where tea is deeply integrated, the artist offers you tastes from his favorite selection of teas, and everyone is welcome to join the table.

This is a work in process, aiming towards an interactive performance where audience is welcome to dive into conversation, starting from simple questions and moving toward those that might feel more uncomfortable.

The project is both research and an educational initiative for a broad audience, that takes on the responsibility of breaking down walls of ignorance and fear around trans people. A work that is both brave and demanding in a time when trans community is under attack – an attack rooted in fear and lack of information.

Together with Prokhor on this event at RadVent, we will also meet drag artist and podcast producer Zara Jangås.
