Kunst fra samlingen som er lite eller ikke vist – hvorfor?

Kurator Charis Gullickson snakker om en kommende utstilling om tillit. Prosjektet har arbeidstittelen Gammelt ræl og er fortsatt i idéfasen. Utgangspunktet en leken utstilling som omhandler NNKMs arbeid med samlingsanalyse og utvikling, og er en fortsettelse av museets påbegynte arbeid med samlingsanalyse og statistikkene 28 % og 6,6 %.
Kunstverk kommer inn i museets samling på forskjellige måter, gjennom kjøp, gaver, overføringer fra andre institusjoner og langtidslån.
Hva som kommer inn via kjøp handler om prioriteringer. Noen verk blir valgt mens andre blir ikke prioritert.
Utstillingen har også som mål å engasjere om hva NNKM har valgt å innlemme i samlingen og hvorfor.


Art from the collection that is rarely or not shown at all – why?

Curator Charis Gullickson talks about an upcoming exhibition on trust. The project has the working title Gammelt ræl (Old Rubbish) and is still in the idea phase. The starting point is a playful exhibition that deals with NNKM’s work with collection analysis and development, and is a continuation of the museum’s ongoing work with collection analysis and the statistics 28% and 6.6%.
Artworks enter the museum’s collection in various ways, through purchases, gifts, transfers from other institutions, and long-term loans.
What comes in through purchase is a matter of priorities. Some works are selected while others are not prioritized.
The exhibition also aims to engage visitors and investigate what NNKM has chosen to include in the collection and why.

Lørdag kl 2 er en lavterskel møteplass og nettverk for alle kvinner (flyktning, arbeidsinnvandrer, student, etnisk norsk etc). Nettverket ble startet vinteren 2020 for å hindre isolasjon og skape fellesskap.
Våre treff er på Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum(NNKM) hvor vi møtes over en kopp kaffe eller te for å utveksle tanker, ideer eller knytte nye vennskap.
Det er gode muligheter for ulike aktiviteter, lage kunst- og håndverk evt delta på omvisning på museet. Lørdag kl to er også en fin språkarena for de som ønsker å øve på ulike språk. Ta gjerne med barna. Velkommen inn i nettverket!

"Lørdag kl 2" is a social meeting place to build networks. This is a "come-as-you-are" for all women, whether you are a refugee, labour immigrant, student, ethnical Norwegian or other. We welcome all.
The network was started in the winter of 2020 to prevent isolation and to create a sense of community. We meet at Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum(NNKM) where we share a cup of coffee or tea to get to know each other, share thoughts and ideas and form new friendships. While there, you also have the opportunity to participate in different activities, create art or handicrafts and even go on a tour of the museum if you like.
"Lørdag kl 2" is also a great arena to learn and practice different languages. Feel free to bring your children!
