Join us for a hands-on sourdough workshop where you’ll dive into the timeless art of baking with natural starters. You’ll be taught every step of the process - from cultivating and maintaining a vibrant starter culture to shaping your very own sourdough boule.
Along the way, Carrie will share her tried-and-true techniques
and insider tips to help you confidently begin your sourdough journey. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with your own active starter culture, a sourdough boule that’s nearly ready to bake,
and the knowledge and confidence to continue your sourdough journey at home. The workshop includes a printed guide, handson
instruction, plenty of encouragement, and a chance to sample freshly baked sourdough from Mindful Root - plus, you may even make a few new friends along the way! Please bring the following items: a kitchen scale, a medium or large clear glass
bowl (must be see-through), a pint-sized glass mason jar, a bag of all-purpose or bread flour (not gluten-free), 3 teaspoons of salt, a rubber spatula, a whisk, and disposable gloves (optional,
for easy cleanup). Arrive a few minutes early to get your supplies set up and ready to go.
