Welcome to Regen Ag Field Day!
Come join us for a day of learning and networking at our Regen Ag Field Day event! This in-person event will be held at the Historic James Cox Farm. Get ready to explore the latest in regenerative agriculture practices and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
Our event will feature informative sessions, first hand experiences, a legislative update from Ohio Farm Bureau, and a farmer panel moderated by Jim Hoorman to answer all of your questions regarding cover crops and regenerative agriculture.
Attendees will enjoy a BBQ lunch and an afternoon ice cream break sponsored by Farm Bureau.
Info: Kent Sonneberg operates Sun Mountain Dairy in Henry County Ohio. In operation since 1865, the farm is home to a 3,000 cow dairy herd. The Sonneberg's put conservation at the forefront of their operation, using cover crops on every acre and practicing no till. Kent is a Farmer Advocate For Conservation, Henry Soil and Water Conservation District Board Member, participant in the Conservation Action Project, and was named an Ohio Master Farmer in 2024. Kent will share information about what it takes to maintain year round cover on their nearly 2,000 acres of cropland while limiting phosphorous losses on the landscape.
