Trail Arts Council Presents an INDIAN DANCE WORKSHOP with Amrtha Yesudas In The Griff at The Bailey Theatre.
Happening Mondays and Thursdays (2 weeks/4 classes) on Nov 3, 6, 10 and 13 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

Snehaamrtham is a Indian-based dance initiative, created to celebrate and share the elegance of dance with audiences across the world.
Coming to The Bailey this November is a 2-week dance intensive designed to introduce participants to the beauty, grace, and storytelling power of the Indian dance form. Each session will include a new dance piece.
About the Workshop - Experience the Rhythm of Culture and Step into the vibrant world of Indian dance! This workshop is an immersive experience designed to introduce participants to the beauty, grace, and storytelling power of Indian dance form. Led by SNEHAAMRTHAM, this session will focus on expressive movements, rhythmic footwork, and the cultural significance behind every gesture. Whether you're a beginner or a dance enthusiast, you'll learn foundational steps, hand gestures, and short choreographed pieces set to soulful Indian music.
What to Expect:
• Introduction to Indian dance form
• Basic techniques and body postures
• Storytelling through facial expressions and hand gestures
• A fun and energetic choreography session
• Open to all skill levels – no prior experience needed!

4 class program on Nov 3, 6, 10 and 13 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
$10.00 Drop In Fee or $20 a person workshop fee (enroll in all 4 classes). Each week participants will learn new dance moves and 30 seconds of new choreography.
***Please wear clothing that allows you to move freely and without restriction.

About The Instructor:
Amrtha Yesudas is a professional dancer from India who has lived in Trail, BC for 3 years now.
Through their growing YouTube channel, Amrtha and Sneha (sisters) bring traditional Indian dance to the digital stage—making it accessible, inspiring, and emotionally resonant for learners and viewers everywhere. Founded with the belief that classical dance can be both timeless and relevant, check out their online offerings here
