Hidden in Plain View: Cemeteries of Minnesota

Walk along with Minnesota photographer and historian Doug Ohman as he explores some of our state’s oldest and most fascinating cemeteries. Through stunning photography and captivating stories, Doug uncovers the lives of those long forgotten and reveals the artistry and symbolism carved into stone.
Learn where the only Revolutionary War soldier buried in Minnesota rests, discover the difference between a cemetery and a graveyard, and see how these sacred places preserve our shared history.
This project was funded in part or in whole with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008 which dedicated funding to preserve Minnesota's arts and cultural heritage.
