Object Handling Workshop Series

Hosted by Goucher Art Galleries & the Goucher Museum Collection

The Object Handling Workshop Series invites students, faculty, and community members to explore the Goucher Museum Collection through guided, hands-on experiences with select artworks and artifacts. Each session is designed to support exhibition programming, enhance interdisciplinary teaching, and promote responsible stewardship of cultural heritage.

Workshops combine instruction in museum best practices (handling, conservation, documentation) with focused inquiry on object histories, artistic meaning, and materiality.
