The Dollyrots have spent over two decades blending raw punk energy with bubblegum melodies, earning a loyal following worldwide. Fronted by Kelly Ogden (bass/vocals) and Luis Cabezas (guitar), the band has released eight studio albums and played more than 2,000 shows since their 2004 debut on Lookout! Records. They later joined Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records and now release music through Wicked Cool Records.
Known for their high-energy live shows and infectious anthems like “Because I’m Awesome,” The Dollyrots have toured extensively across the U.S. and U.K., sharing stages with acts like Bowling For Soup, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Buzzcocks, The Go-Go’s, and Paramore. They've also been featured on the Vans Warped Tour and Little Steven’s Underground Garage Cruise.
Recent tours include a 2025 U.K. run with Don’t Panic, a U.S. tour with Go Betty Go, and their “Sugar in the Gas Tank” Florida dates. Their latest album, Night Owls, co-produced by John Fields, continues to gain traction with strong radio play on Sirius/XM and NPR features.
Beyond the music, Kelly and Luis are partners in life and art, often touring with their kids, who are now part of the family act. Their story is one of DIY dedication, showing that it’s possible to stay punk while raising a family.
With deluxe reissues on the way and more touring planned for 2025, The Dollyrots remain a vibrant force in pop punk—fearlessly fun, fiercely independent, and always authentic.
