365 Days of Colour in Your Garden - An evening of Gardening Inspiration
Transform your garden into a riot of year-round colour with this evening of gardening inspiration and take home achievable ideas you can apply to your plot. Led by renowned Plantsman, Designer and BBC Gardeners' World Presenter Nick Bailey, the afternoon will equip you to upgrade your garden.
Focusing on the proven techniques Nick has developed over 25 years, the talk combines the art and science of growing for year-round colour.
Beginning with the fascinating science of how plants have evolved to make and use colour, Nick goes on to explore the role of colour in the garden and how its placement can fundamentally alter the feel of the space. Nick also introduces useful artistic ideas, such as the colour-wheel, to inform plant groupings across the seasons along with highlighting easy successional planting recipes and transformative alternative approaches to gardening. Not limited to flower colour, Nick will also explore the impact of foliage and the dynamic colours, textures and backdrops it can provide. The talk also has a strong focus on extending flowering seasons and THE longest flowering plants in the UK, along with exploring a wide range of unusual but easy-to-grow plants which will deliver the elusive dream of 365 Days of Colour in Your Garden
The evening concludes with a book signing and Q&A session.
