The Cajun Arms Defensive Rifle 3.0 Course is intended to push you past your current comfort zone.
During this course you gain understanding of your abilities and how your rifle performs.
Students will be put through a series of challenging pistol and rifle drills that test their ability to balance speed and accuracy. During the course, students will isolate fundamentals and focus on enhancing efficiencies as they progress and learn additional complex tasks. Cajun Arms will challenge you as we introduce drills focusing on presentations transitioning from rifle to holster, reloads, target to target transitions, acute angles, all while moving and using cover.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This is an advanced level class. The student needs to demonstrate safe gun handling, weapon system familiarity, and foundational marksmanship skills. Students must have passed either Cajun Arms Defensive Rifle 1.0 or 2.0 and Defensive Carry 2.0 or 3.0, or equivalent courses. $265
COURSE OUTLINE
Rifle Course Equipment (rentals available)
A semi-automatic rifle. No magnum calibers. Students are required to have ANSI eye protection, and ear protection. Digital ear protection is REQUIRED to ensure all direction and commands are heard and understood.
You will need a sling, a minimum of 3 magazines for your rifle, a belt or vest with pouches for at least 3 rifle magazines. Back up iron sights are encouraged. A red dot or optic is OK but it must have the ability to be dialed down to 1 power. Legally obtained SBR’s are permitted if a copy of the tax stamp is presented prior to class. Cleaning and clearing kit and Field repair parts are always helpful.
A sidearm, quality holster, belt, and 2 magazine carriers mounted on belt. A minimum of 3 speed loaders or magazines. Knee and elbow protection is a good idea, but not mandatory. Serpa Holsters are not permitted in class.
Hat, neck scarf, bug spray, rain gear and bags to carry your gear. Clothing for seasonal weather during outdoor classes is required in order to stay comfortable.
For long distance classes: A semi-automatic rifle or bolt rifle with enough quality “glass” to shoot course targets. Sling and bipod or rest. Spotting scopes are a great idea but not required.
N0 GREEN TIP PENETRATORS FOR CLASS
NO REFUNDS.
We typically fill our classes and turn students away as the class date nears. Be sure you can attend the class date for which you sign up. Should you become unable to attend a class, you can use your deposit for another class offered within one year of the original class date provided you give at least 72 hour notice to us. We will subtract any upfront costs we incur such as class materials from the deposit. Cancellations shorter than 72 hours and no shows forfeit their deposit. Thank you.
Home-built Gun Policy
We do not allow the use of 80% home-built firearms in our classes such as “Polymer 80” pistols and “80” lower” rifles or pistols. A general rule of thumb: if it does not have a serial number, do not bring it.
These guns have proven to be unreliable in class.
If you bring one to class and do not have a backup, or there is not a rental gun available, you will need to leave the class. No refund is given. Thank you for your cooperation.
