Harmony Singing Day with Roxane Smith
Saturday 7 March 2026 · 10:30 am – 4:00 pm at Angel Hall
Join us for a joyous day of harmony singing with the wonderful Roxane Smith, community choir leader and harmony-song enthusiast from Shropshire. Roxane brings warmth, fun, and deep musical experience to her teaching, and this full-day workshop is perfect for singers of all levels who want to lift their voices together in song.
What to Expect
A friendly, supportive atmosphere where everyone is welcome
Songs taught by ear — no need to read music
A variety of uplifting repertoire: from folk-inspired harmonies to barbershop, choral pop, and soulful communal singing
Guidance in harmony parts (soprano, alto, bass, etc.)
Warm-ups, vocal games, ear training, and techniques for blending voices
Opportunities to sing in parts, discover new voice colours, and build confidence singing in a group
Plenty of laughter, connection, and musical joy
Whether you’re new to harmony or have sung in choirs before, Roxane’s fun, dynamic, and inclusive style ensures you’ll leave with songs in your heart — and new friendships in your voice.
Bring a packed lunch and water bottle (there is good drinking water available at The Angel Hall); we’ll provide tea, coffee and snacks throughout the day.
About Roxane Smith
Roxane has been championing community singing for nearly three decades. She is co-director of Sing for Water, a national mass choir event raising funds for WaterAid, and she leads multiple community choirs across Shrewsbury, Oswestry, and Welshpool.
Her choirs and workshops embrace the philosophy that “if you can breathe, you can sing” — she firmly believes everyone has a voice worth sharing. Roxane chooses songs “that bring us together” — celebrating kindness, nature, respect, and community.
In her teaching she leads large groups with energy, humour, patience, and heart. Her reputation as a warm, uplifting, deeply musical leader means her workshop spaces tend to fill quickly.
Spaces are limited and expected to book fast — reserve your place today and join us for a powerful, heart-warming day of song.
