The Jazz Syndicate presents another band from Bristols thriving modern jazz scene - Fantastic Stranger.
Fantastic Stranger are an explosive Sax Trio, boasting ferocious riffs and tender melodies with a hefty dose of improvisation. Fittingly under the ever- expanding umbrella of UK jazz, Fantastic Stranger aren’t afraid to get their feet wet, stepping out into post- rock, trip- hop and everything in between.
In their deepest indulgences, their emotive, intentional playing, serve up undeniably infectious performances.
Their creativity has evolved onstage at prestigious venues like Bristol Beacon, The Gallimaufry and The Jam Jar allowing them to explore collaboration; catching the eye of Theon Cross (Sons of Kemet).
Band highlights include sharing a bill with Mercury nominated Corto Alto and opening for heavyweights in their field, 137, made up of the minds behind Polar Bear, Get The Blessing and Portishead.
