The Neighborhood Improvement Associations of District 1 β Central Park, Historic Holliday Park, Historic Old Town, Monroe, and Tennessee Town β invite the public for an evening to listen to candidates speak on the issues most pressing for all who live in the NIAs of District 1.
Neighborhood Improvement Associations are defined by census tracts containing 51% or more of residents living at or below area median income.
Of the current identified NIAs, District 1 has 33% of the total number of low-to-moderate income neighborhoods.
District 1 is home to 2 public elementary schools, 1 public middle school, and 1 public high school.
