This 12 week introductory course is designed specifically for those interested in learning to draw more accurately and realistically. Interestingly enough, learning to draw has very little to do with your hand and instead focuses more on your eyes and your brain!
Each week of the class will build upon the last as we sequentially cover the basic concepts and fundamental skills that will guarantee a striking improvement in your drawing skills and observational abilities.
Because this is a sequential course, it is strongly recommended that participants attend each week of the class.
The format of this class will not prove useful for only attending a handful of weeks.
While not required, students will see significantly more improvement over the duration of this course if they plan to spend 2-3 hours a week working OUTSIDE of class time.
This course will cover a number of key concepts and skills that are foundational for building skills and confidence
• Blind Contour Drawing
• Understanding and Utilizing the Picture Plane

• Modified Blind Contour Drawing
• Sight Measurements & Pencil Referencing
• Proportions
