Gage Park Founder’s Fest at the Discovery Center

Join us for Gage Park Founder’s Fest, a two-day celebration of one of Topeka’s most treasured spaces! The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center, Topeka Zoo, and Shawnee County Parks + Rec are throwing a two-day, family-friendly party in celebration of Gage Park.

📅 On Friday, August 29, 2025 kick things off with FREE admission to the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Gage Park history family educational programs at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Burger Bus food truck will be at the Discovery Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

📅 On Saturday, August 30, 2025, get free admission to the Topeka Zoo with a nonperishable food item, free Gage Park Mini Train rides and free Carousel in the Park rides from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – plus pop-up activities throughout the park.
