🚴💨 Drop Bar Adventure: Lecompton Loop via Scenic River Road
Get ready for an incredible Drop Bar Adventure this weekend! We're hitting the road for a scenic 45-mile loop out to Lecompton and back, enjoying some of the area's best routes and views.
The Route and Pace
We'll roll out SHARP at 8:30 AM from Lake Shawnee. We'll kick things off on the bike path, make our way to 2nd Street, and then start our winding, beautiful journey toward Lecompton on the Scenic River Road.
This is a casual, social pace ride—perfect for chatting and enjoying the scenery! We'll make sure to have occasional regroup stops, so no one gets left behind.
Mid-Ride Refuel Stop
Our destination is the charming Hillcreek Market in Lecompton! They are excited to host us and offer a perfect mid-ride break. They've got plenty of delicious options for refreshments and snacks, plus essential water refills.
The Second Half: Scenic Valley Views
Once refreshed, the second half promises even more breathtaking scenery. We'll cruise down through the stunning Greenwood Valley, conquer the gentle climbs up into Big Springs, and then make our final approach back to Lake Shawnee.
