About Garret Larson

In a society that throws so much away and is fixated on the new frontiers of technology Garrett Larson explores the past through objects. Meaningful collaboration and unity are themes of his work. Giving old objects a new lease on life while honoring their past. Artworks made with intent and storytelling. Larson explores personal stories, stories of others and even the history of the Great state of Kansas in his art works. Come see how you can tell your story.

Garrett Larson, a native of Rossville, Kansas, distinguished himself academically by graduating with honors from Washburn University, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Sculpture. While at Washburn, he was honored with the esteemed Charles A. and Margaret W. Pollak Award in 2009. A dedicated artist throughout his life, Larson founded Show Stoppers Studio, LLC in 2012, where he specializes in creating commissioned artworks, providing fabrication services, and building custom automobiles.

Proficient in various artistic mediums, Larson has dedicated the past decade to educating students at Rossville Jr/Sr High School. His commitment extends beyond the classroom as he actively engages in the development of youth and participates in numerous community projects. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Fort Hays State University and was recognized as Rossville's Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 academic year. Over the last ten years, Mr. Larson has collaborated with local communities across Kansas to produce significant public artworks that contribute to the cultural landscape of the region.
