Embark on an exciting 12-month journey to master the art of color and uncover its profound meanings with artist Kathy Pflaum. Dive deep into effective color usage in your artwork, exploring essential techniques such as mixing colors, harnessing the power of the color wheel, and experimenting with a rich variety of combinations. Discover how to create luminosity, manipulate temperature and transparency, and achieve depth and simultaneous contrast.
Each month, you will engage in hands-on design exercises that will sharpen your skills and ignite your creativity. You’ll have the chance to practice different uses of color and combinations, allowing you to elevate your artistic expression. Bring your project—whether finished or in progress—to class for insightful discussions about your achievements over the past 30 days. We foster an environment of positivity and constructive feedback, ensuring that each participant feels supported.
All necessary supplies will be provided for our class exercises; just remember to bring your favorite color wheel.
