Join us as we explore ikebana, the Asian art of flower arrangement, as a contemplative dharma mindfulness practice to invite art in everyday life.

What you will take away from this workshop:
Learn how to connect with the qi (life force energy) of a flower, and invite it’s wisdom into your home and meditation practice
Instructional demonstration on how to create an ikebana arrangement, interwoven with contemplative dharma art, Buddhist, and Taoist teachings
Practical learning and tips on ikebana equipment, where to purchase, and how to use; A greater awareness of nature, your environment and the world of flowers
Connection with other people that love flowers and contemplative arts.

Participants are invited to create their own flower arrangement in class. Supplies will be provided for use in class (or you can bring your own) and can also be purchased from Anjie to take home. Flowers will be provided to take home.
For all skill levels, no artistic experience required. (Experienced students will have the option of skipping a portion of the demo to begin their arrangements sooner.)

Limited spots. Only 15 spaces available! Please register if you plan to attend so there will be enough flowers and supplies for all. Plan to arrive at 12:30 pm to park, check in and get settled. The program will begin promptly at 1 pm.
