Want to elevate your Pure Balboa skills to the next level? Come join us at the PureBal Bliss Workshop with Tise Chao and Jeremy Otth.
In this workshop, we’ll be covering the fundamentals of Pure Balboa, improving techniques, inspiring your creativity to a higher level, and make it look and feel smooth like butter!
Tise had the privilege to learn and danced with the original Balboa dancers, she is delighted to share her knowledge, experience, and help you understand and improve your technique and connection. Jeremy is a natural talent, a true jitterbug, who has mastered the essence of vintage swing dances, always perfecting his skills on and off the dance floor that his expertise and creativity knows no bounds. Together with their vast amount of knowledge, creativity, and musicality, they will help grow your PureBal to the next level. Come join us and let’s shuffle together on the dance floor!
Level: This workshop is geared for intermediate level and up. Please wear leather sole shoes, and be on time. (Please arrive 15min early if you're paying at the door and sign up)
Time: 1:00pm – 4:00pm (It's a 3 hours class with breaks in between, and we'll be rotating often.)

Biography:
Tise Chao:
Tise started swing dancing in Southern California in 1997, learning first hand from local original swing dance legends, and is one of the “Old School” kids during the swing revival era. Her dance education began in her early years, studying lyrical jazz and flamenco, as she continued to expand her dance knowledge throughout her dance career. Tise has performed and taught around the world with top Balboa, Collegiate Shag, and Lindy Hop instructors, as well as consistently winning top placements in international level dance competitions. Tise also works as the head judge and competition coordinator at numerous international dance competitions and events, and continues to mentor and support the next generation of dancers. Tise is dedicated to preserving yet innovating the dances, and with her smooth fast feet and her jitterbug energy it’s difficult to keep up with her on the social dance floor! Tise hopes to inspire other dancers to find their own sense of style and spirit by sharing her vast knowledge, passion, and energy with the people who appreciate the art of swing dancing.
Jeremy Otth:
Jeremy Otth has amassed a great amount of knowledge on the historic essence of vintage swing dances from many of the original jitterbugs and swing dancers. His expertise is focused on the Lindy, Collegiate Shag, Balboa and Solo Jazz. Along with his seemingly inexhaustible amount of energy, Jeremy’s natural talent and dedication led him to accumulate championship titles at many acclaimed dance competitions such as the International Lindy Hop Championships, National Jitterbug Championships, American Classic Balboa Championships, and the US Open Swing Dance Championships. He's been twice inducted into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame. Jeremy is honored to share the breadth of knowledge and passion for these classic partner dances by entertaining and educating feet around the world from Southern California to Asia and Europe.
