The 2025 JRSC Turtle Island Race (for adult One-Design Classes) will be raced in the Ottawa River and the Maumee Bay. Racing will begin at the end of the JRSC T-Dock, proceed to an optional weather mark, down the Ottawa River, out into the Maumee Bay, around Turtle Island, and then back to the JRSC T-Dock. (Alternate racing only on the Ottawa River should weather conditions warrant.)
Registration Fee:
$35 per crewed boat (Catalina 22s, Interlakes, etc.)
$25 per boat for single crew boats (Lasers, Sun Fish, etc.)
Your entry fee will include dinner for your entire crew.
The exact course and starting order will be included in the Sailing Instructions (available at registration).
This regatta will be governed and scored per the 2025-2028 Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescription of the One-
Design rules, and as modified by the specific Sailing Instructions of this regatta.
The Turtle Island Race is open to all One-Design Classes with a minimum of three boats per class. Although we anticipate a Catalina 22 Class, Interlake Class, Sunfish Class, and Laser Class, all other classes able to sail this venue are welcome.
Registration will occur on the day of the event. We strongly suggest that you email us in advance if you plan to attend, so that we may have ample food on hand for all participants. Non-racers are welcome to join us for dinner for $10 per person. There is no additional fee for dinner
for anyone racing in the regatta.
