NAMI Family & Friends Seminar – August 2025
NAMI Family & Friends is a free seminar that informs people who have loved ones with a mental health condition how to best support them. It’s also an opportunity to meet others in similar situations and gain community support.
The seminar is led by trained individuals with lived experience supporting a family member with a mental health condition. Topics covered include:
Understanding diagnoses, treatment, and recovery
Effective communication strategies
The importance of self-care
Crisis preparation strategies
NAMI and community resources
The goal of the seminar is to offer participants practical skills and information to address their immediate concerns until they can attend a NAMI Family-to-Family class.
