Lupine Planting with NRD

Lupine plays an important role in natural ecosystems by adding nitrogen and loosening compacted soils.

Join us as we plant this important species, learn about its uses and join in community and fellowship over lunch.

Meet us at St. Mary's at 9:30am to shuttle to the planting location. Tools and lunch will be provided.

Please remember this is an outdoor event in November and weather may be cold and/or wet. We highly encourage wearing warm layers with a water resistant outer shell. Clothing items that will help keep you warm may include:

• Wool or Heavy Acrylic Socks*
• Winter Gloves (waterproof or wool)*
• Fleece or Wool Sweater/Jacket*
• Raincoat & Rain Pants*
• Rain or Other Waterproof Boots*
• Thermal Underwear*
• Hand Warmers*

*If you don't have these exact items, don't worry! The idea is just to stay warm and dry and wear layers that can be shed if you warm up during periods of activity.
