Saturdays are for downtown strolls and community fun! 🌞
Whether you're going for a walk or grabbing a meal in downtown Toccoa on Saturday, October 11, be sure to swing by one of the many booths that will be set up along Doyle Street during our Public Safety & Community Festival celebrating National Faith & Blue Weekend 2025.
Bring your kids to the bounce houses, visit our public health and safety officials, see a firetruck, or sit in a police car. Meet local ministry and outreach coordinators, church leaders, and hear from passionate speakers. Join us in a march for recovery, then grab a snack at one of the local food trucks or restaurants.
The Public Safety & Community Festival will take place in downtown Toccoa from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Prayer will begin at the stage around 9 a.m., led by local pastors. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., local recovery groups will be leading a drug march from Self-Discovery 24 (602 Big A Road, Toccoa) to Doyle Street.
Local food truck vendors will include Families Matter Mobile Kitchen, Glory Grill Catering, Kona Ice, and Pelican Snoballs. So far, public health and safety agencies represented include the Stephens County Sheriff's Office, Toccoa Police Department, Georgia State Patrol Post 7, Stephens County EMS, Pruitt Health, Toccoa Fire Department, and more. Local faith-based organizations, ministries, and churches will also be present to share what they do and ways you can get involved!
