LEARN HOW TO FENCE WITH TIVERTON SWORDS
*Wednesday 30 July: Try Fencing workshops.*
Venue: Castle Primary School, Tiverton. Just £10. Cash on the day is fine!
**PLUS the regular junior, youth and senior training sessions.**
*6pm* - Ages 8 to 15. (And parents /family members if you're training together.)
*7pm* - Ages 16 and up. (No upper age limit.)
*BEGINNER COURSE START DATES & TIMES*
Beginner classes will start after a short break. (Sorry, venue unavailable 06 and 13 August.)
Start dates and times as follows:
° - 6pm on Wednesdays 20 August onwards: Ages 8-15, Junior & Youth Beginners (& parent / family if training together.)
° - 7pm on Wednesdays 20 August onwards: Ages 16 and over. No maximum age.
Five lessons: Aug 20, 27; Sept 03, 10, 17. (We will also run a beginner course in the new Autumn term.)
*ABOUT THE BEGINNER COURSE*
Fencing is a fun, fast-paced, mental and physical workout! These beginner classes are an introduction to modern Olympic fencing, to give you a sound foundation of skills, game sense, safety and etiquette.
Tiverton Swords Fencing Club is a friendly and welcoming community club, affiliated to British Fencing. Once you've completed Level 1, you will be ready to start your journey as a fencer.
Loan Kit is provided FREE during the beginner course, and can be hired later. Trainees need to wear indoor non-marking trainers, a t-shirt and tracksuit trousers / leggings (no open pockets). Please bring water to drink.
*YOUR COACH*
Jason Ball is a British Fencing registered coach, qualified in all 3 weapon disciplines of Épée, Foil and Sabre.
*TRAINING FEES*
Try Fencing workshop: £10 per person. We will count this payment towards your beginner course fees if you sign up!!!
Beginner Course: just £44 for the full course. Payment in advance is required to reserve your place on the Beginner Course - so the coach can reserve protective gear to suit you.
Family discounts on offer - every extra family member can save £5 on the full beginner course fee!
