Each new season is an opportunity to notice the subtle energy shifts in the world around us. These changes can be especially prominent when we move from the slower pace of Winter to the faster pace of Spring. We may want to leap into the brighter, lighter, expansive energy of new beginnings, new ideas and new routines. But nature reminds us to slowly unfurl, to mindfully awaken, to stretch, to breathe and to be present.
In our Spring themed Yin, Pins & Sound we will honour the shifts from stillness to movement, darkness to light, inner to outer and Yin to Yang with a selection of powerful healing practices held in a stunning location surrounded by nature.
◊ Ceremonial Cacao – A beautiful heart opening plant medicine that connects us to the wisdom within.
◊ Yin yoga is a wonderful way to teach the body and the mind to slow down. It is in this state of rest and relaxation that the tissues start to soften and the breath begins to deepen. Connecting to your body in a new way is where the medicine of Yin takes place.
◊ Acupuncture points are selected to support the theme of the day and are gently placed during your final relaxation pose.
◊ Sound healing has been used for millenia in cultures around the world, where they have long known the benefits of frequency medicine. The shifts and changes that take place in the body are truly transformational. The vibration of gongs and the potent resonance of the didgeridoo washing over you transports you to another time and place. The sweet harmonics of crystal singing bowls is a beautiful and bliss inducing experience.
Laura and Francis are excited to collaborate again with a combination of their favourite healing modalities. Two experienced practitioners offering a unique opportunity for you to experience these ancient and powerful therapies. Medicine for mind, body and soul.
All welcome. No experience necessary.
About your facilitators:
Laura is the founder of Nautilus Acupuncture. As an Acupuncturist and Yoga teacher she blends her passion for Eastern Medical practices with her knowledge and experience of Western Medicine. She believes educating clients about their body, breath, mind and emotions is the key to improving physical and mental wellbeing.
Supporting people to find ways to bring more calm, peace and stillness into their life is now her path and purpose. Whether that be through an Acupuncture treatment, Qi Gong practice, a yoga class, guided meditation, or simply the reminder to take a long slow deep breath. The practices and philosophies she shares are deeply intertwined into her clinical work, community education and life as a busy mum.
Francis prides himself on his practice that facilitates a safe and supportive space for everyone. His sound and frequency therapy can create a relaxed, balanced and meditative state enhancing physical, emotional and mental well-being. By using a combination of Acutonics®, didgeridoo, gongs, bowls, drums, rattles and crystals. The healing vibration of sound attunes the body to the natural rhythms, frequencies and vibrations for you to CREATE a new way of being. You’ll walk out of your healing session or a group sound journey feeling grounded and a deeper connection with yourself in all areas of life.
