DEFSUP PROFILE
A hub for contemporary arts, Definitely Superior Art Gallery aka DefSup, is Northwestern Ontario’s nationally recognized artist-run centre. Featuring leading-edge visual and multidisciplinary exhibitions and events, both in and outside the gallery.
Definitely Superior Art Gallery is the only arts organization to be acknowledged from Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario, as the Ontario Premier’s Awards’ Laureate winner (2013), and a three-time Finalist as well. We’re a registered charitable non-profit arts organization, founded by artists in 1988.
>What does the fundraiser support?
The annual Hunger fundraiser presented by DefSup, is helping to support the phase II transition | renovations, into our exciting new industrial gallery | performance complex space, located in the Cumberland Cinema 5 building (115 N. Cumberland St.).
Funds also support our ongoing annual multi-disciplinary contemporary arts, and educational / new generation | youth programming. As well as, our special developmental production and tour funding, directed towards professional artists |musicians | performance artists.
