Steven Hashimoto has been a professional musician in Chicago since 1969, playing a diverse range of genres, including jazz, rock, folk, blues, country, Latin, and avant-garde music.
He has performed in clubs, concerts, and for corporate and private events, including the Chicago Jazz Festival, ChicagoFest, Taste of Chicago, and other major events, both locally and nationally.
"Hash" as he is known, has been a staple at clubs like the Green Mill (where he anchored the famous After-Hours Jam Sessions for 30 years) and Andy’s Jazz Club.
His band of seasoned jazz musicians includes saxophonist/flautist Dan Hesler, Argentinian pianist Leandro Lopez-Varady, and drummer Linard Stroud. They will excite the audience with songs from the Great American Songbook, jazz standards, re-interpreted pop songs, and music from Brazil and Latin America.
