🍁🎩Inspired by the Band, the Man, the Machine, THE HiP MACHINE brings you the music of The Tragically Hip the way it was meant to be heard — live. Darryl Aspin of Hitcher fame made his mark captivating audiences in the Durham Region with his strong vocal ability and high-energy performances. Behind Darryl is a band of talented musicians, including guitarist Mike Rewegen, drummer Seth McNamara, firefighter and bassist Stephen Reid, and on lead guitar, Mike Marinuk — after six years as a founding member of another Ontario Hip tribute — now showcasing his abilities with performances identical to the albums and live recordings.
For many, The Tragically Hip was the ultimate live band — their music carried an energy and presence that could only be felt in person. Our goal is to bring a little of that feeling back, along with the memories we all share.
