First Friday's at the Library!
Join us Friday, January 9, 2026 at Thompson Falls Public Library from 2:30pm to 3:30pm as we celebrate Genealogy!
We will have a guest speaker from our community on hand to answer questions and offer advice about finding information for your tree from DAR / SAR, and doing research online and using resources like the LDS Church's Family Search, Ancestry, Billion Graves, etc.
Please bring with you the following information (although this isn't required, it will help if you want to work oon your chart in the presence of a knowledgable guide):
A) bring the following information about yourself:
1. First name, middle name(s) and last name
2. Birthday - day / month / year
3. Place of birth - Name of city / town, county, state or providence and country
B) bring the following information about each of your parents:
1. First name, middle name(s) and last name
2. Birthday - day / month / year
3. Place of birth - Name of city / town, county, state or providence and country
4. Marriage information - Date & Place
C) bring the following information about each of your grandparents:
1. First name, middle name(s) and last name
2. Birthday - day / month / year
3. Place of birth - Name of city / town, county, state or providence and country
4. Marriage information - Date & Place
5. Death information - Date, Place, Burial / Cemetery
We will have copies of a family tree on hand to fill out.
