With autumn closing in, but summer still fresh on everyone's mind, join us in Sant Vith, Belgium, on September 6th for a club night featuring the effortless dub techno genius of Tikiman and Richard Akingbehin together with Artisjok founder AliA, Adi, who co-runs For Playful Manners, and locals Stinny and Gråzon.
Richard Akingbehin & Tikiman (Kynant Records - UK/DM)
Paul St. Hilaire, aka Tikiman, has been the voice of dub techno ever since 1995, through his work with the legendary Basic Channel crew from Berlin. He has long since branched out on his own through solo work released on his now-defunct False Tuned label and a plethora of collaborations. He released Tikiman Vol. 1 on Richard Akingbehin's Kynant Records in 2023 to great acclaim. His upcoming w/The Producers album (due out in August of 2025), also on Kynant Records, features collaborations with Gavsborg, Mala, Batu, Shinichi Atobe, and more.
British-Nigerian DJ Richard Akingbehin runs Kynant Records, expertly merging techno, dub, and experimental genres, continuously pushing boundaries. He co-founded Berlin's Refuge Worldwide, a community radio station amplifying diverse voices in electronic music, promoting inclusivity and representation.
A Paul St. Hilaire/Tikiman performance is a deep descent into the outer realm of techno, dub, and more. Together with Richard Akingbehin, brace yourself for an immersion into the deep end of club music.
AliA (Artisjok - BE)
Driven by a fierce passion for a variety of genres and the desire to create a platform for underground and underrated artists, AliA founded Artisjok, a label that aims to give upcoming artists who have the potential to grow the chance to use Artisjok as a platform to develop. This approach allows the label to create a diverse and dynamic catalogue of music, showcasing a range of different sounds and styles. AliA is one of the current most promising Belgian DJs, combining a thorough knowledge of all things club music with incredible technique.
Adi (For Playful Manners, Basic Moves - BE)
Adi is an explorative and courageous artist, dedicating herself to music since 2013. Her selection is diverse and adventurous, heavily influenced by her Latin roots as well as classical music, jazz, and soul, all the way through to psychedelic and experimental frequencies. She explores multiple soundscapes to unlock the body and free the mind. In 2021, she released her first album, BM14, on the Belgian Basic Moves label. She co-runs the For Playful Manners imprint alongside Basic Moves label-head Walrus.
Stinny (Revolte - BE)
Stinny plays hypnotic, deep, and minimal club sounds and is a member of the Üblichen Verdächtigen party collective. He runs the NeverEndingLove and GIOGIA radio shows on Eupen community radio Studio Néau. He is a careful and detailed selector, apt at choosing refined dancefloor-oriented records that dig deeper than the norm.
Gråzon (Revolte - BE)
Gråzon from Belgium is DJ and producer Lukas Richter. His sound is based on groove and edge, referencing the beginnings of house music, with a backdrop of mood and ambience. He has released music on the Parisian Rdv Music label.
