Formed in 1998 by singer-songwriter Andrew Grimm, June Star is an Americana/alt-country project based in Baltimore. Since its inception, the band has released 21 albums, toured extensively across the U.S., and, by their own admission, gone into debt doing what they love.
Over the years, June Star has seen many members come and go. The current lineup includes Andrew Grimm, Dave Hadley, Chris Iseli, David Bryson, and Michael Zepeda.
Their music blends the grit of bar-band rock with the beauty of pedal steel and storytelling. Their music has been compared to Son Volt, Old 97s, and Tom Petty, but June Star’s sound is unmistakably their own—raw, world-weary, and emotionally resonant.
With a discography that includes A Little Heat (2020), The Late Spring (2019), and Latency (2024), June Star crafts songs of heartbreak, distance, and resilience delivered with grit, grace, and lyrical depth.
