The workshop will include theoretical parts and practical demonstrations suited for all, people with or without experience with horses. On the first day, participants will be encouraged to engage with the horses to explore visually and physically for signs of lameness, imbalance and discomfort. On the second day, participants will be able to physically partake in the hoof care process and the handling of trimming equipment.
The workshop will be conducted in English, but I will offer assistance, translating to Greek if required. You are kindly requested to respect the schedule and the other participants and be there 30 minutes before we begin. The clinic will follow a fixed structure and you will not be able to participate if you miss the introduction or parts of the theory or the live demonstration. However, Nick and Ralitsa are experienced clinicians and will adjust the workshop material according to the level of the participants.
Coffee, water, and snacks will be provided by us. There will be a lunch break on both days. Please respect that the clinicians also need to eat and rest during the break. There will be adequate time for questions later. Alcoholic beverages and illegal substances are prohibited, this is a family environment. Please book your accommodation 10 days to a week before the event.
What to Bring: Dress appropriately, wear a hat and hiking boots. It’s always going to be hotter than you expect and colder than you have thought it to be. The weather is always a bit more unexpected in the farm than in the city! Bring pen and paper to take notes. You can take pictures with your phone but be mindful and respectful with video recordings. Kids, pets and non-participating friends or family are not allowed.
Please free to contact us for more information and to reserve your seat.
