The Last Diamond
In the heart of the African bush, where the mopane trees spread their butterfly-shaped leaves wide beneath the sun, the village of Redalerga sat in uneasy silence. Once a quiet hub of farming and cattle trading, it had become a flashpoint in a brutal struggle between a private military contractor known as Excalibur Services and a loosely organized group of rebels called the RUF. Between these forces stood the blue helmets of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission.
