Shodō - Japanese Calligraphy

Join us in exploring Shodō, the art of Japanese calligraphy with Nao Fukumoto, deeply rooted in the meditative traditions of Zazen Buddhism.

In this session, we will focus on writing words inspired by the theme of spring, embracing the season’s renewal and growth.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn to use traditional Washi paper and a calligraphy brush, honing control and concentration. This practice will guide you towards achieving Mushin—a state of balance and natural harmony of the mind.

All materials are provided, including a calligraphy brush pen that you can take home at the end of the class.

No prior experience is necessary—beginners are welcome!
