Salamander Search

Join TNC educators at the small pond near the Visitors’ Center to look for salamanders as they emerge from their underground burrows. This nighttime journey to the water is something the adult amphibians make only once a year, and witnessing it is a truly special experience.

This is a spontaneous, weather-dependent program that can only run when conditions are just right for salamander movement. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot in advance.
