BMRTPA/TURF Group Run/Hike - Wilderness Park Trout Creek Site

Join us for a "friendly-paced" trail run/hike around Trout Creek. We'll run through the mostly shaded flatwoods and oak hammocks straddling the single-track trails, as well as the wide-open packed gravel berm for a change of pace. The course isn't considered technical, but offers some exposed roots and sand in areas. Trail shoes aren't required but could be useful in a couple spots. No significant elevation change other than when transitioning to/from the raised berm.

The Trout Creek Parking area offers hardened restrooms and a water fountain. As with all of Hillsborough County's Flatwoods Park, there's a $2 parking fee. There's also a few outdoor tables and benches to meet up afterwards, so feel free to bring snacks and refreshments to share.
