Stitching from the Heart: Sewing Machine Basics

Due to the first class selling out, we’re excited to open a second Sewing Machine Basics class at Musgrove + Co in Tecumseh 🧵☕

Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly evening of learning to sew with Mary Tommelein. We’ll start with sewing machine fundamentals—safe operation, threading, and basic stitching—before putting those skills into practice by creating two sewn heart bookmarks.

Instruction will be tailored to whatever level you come with, making this class perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a refresher. Sewing machine handouts and practice sheets will be provided. Materials and thread for two heart bookmarks are included.

Three sewing machines will be available, but bringing your own machine is highly encouraged so you can practice with what you use at home. Feel free to bring thread, empty bobbins, or any tools you’d like help learning to use.
