“Nino Pophkhadze – Four Monologues” – this is the title of the new exhibition presented by Art Foundation Anagi.
What connects a female Georgian Soviet children’s book illustrator with three contemporary artists?
Nino Pophkhadze (1916–2001) is one of the overlooked figures in the history of Georgian visual art. The exhibition offers a new visual interpretation of her work and aims to critically rethink the Soviet artistic heritage.
Alongside Pophkhadze, the exhibition will feature works by three contemporary artists - Anuk Beluga, Giorgi Kontridze, and Luiza Laperadze - creating four variations of observing time and space, unified through subjective perspectives.
A significant part of Pophkhadze’s artistic legacy is preserved today in our foundation’s archive. Researching “forgotten” artists and giving new life to their work is an essential part of the foundation’s mission.

The official opening of the exhibition will take place on 11 December at 20:00, in the foundation’s archive exhibition space.
The exhibition will be open through March 2026.

რა აკავშირებთ ქართული საბჭოთა საბავშვო წიგნების ილუსტრატორ ქალ-მხატვარსა და სამ თანამედროვე არტისტს?
ნინო ფოფხაძე (1916-2001) ქართული სახვითი ხელოვნების ისტორიაში ერთ-ერთი მივიწყებული სახელია. გამოფენა მისი შემოქმედების ახალ ვიზუალურ თარგმანს გვთავაზობს და საბჭოთა მემკვიდრეობის კრიტიკულად გადააზრებას ემსახურება.
მასთან ერთად, გამოფენაზე სამი თანამედროვე მხატვრის - ანუკ ბელუგას, გიორგი კონტრიძისა და ლუიზა ლაფერაძის ნამუშევრები იქნება წარმოდგენილი, რითაც დროსა და სივრცეზე დაკვირვების ოთხი ვარიაცია და სუბიექტური მოცემულობა იკვრება.
ფოფხაძის შემოქმედებითი მემკვიდრეობის მნიშვნელოვანი ნაწილი ამჟამად ჩვენი ფონდის არქივშია დაცული. „მივიწყებულ“ ხელოვანთა კვლევა და მათთვის ახალი სოცოცხლის მინიჭება ფონდის საქმიანობის ერთ-ერთი მნიშვნელოვანი ნაწილია.

გამოფენის ოფიციალური გახსნა 11 დეკემბერს, 20:00 საათზე, ფონდის არქივის საგამოფენო სივრცეში გაიმართება.
ექსპოზიცია 2026 წლის მარტის ჩათვლით გაგრძელდება.
