ANDY JACKSON is a poet and editor of several anthologies and web-based poetry projects, and former Makar to the Federation of Writers Scotland. Ongoing projects include Otwituaries – Tweet-length poetic obituaries for public figures; and New Boots and Pantisocracies – an evolving collection of political poetry. He also leads on The Lonely Funeral Project in Scotland. His latest collection is a collaboration with Italian photographer Catia Montagnam entitled Selling the Light, published by Whaleback City Press. Other recent collections include Games Night with Red Squirrel Press, and The Saints Are Coming In with Blue Diode. With WN Herbert, he runs Dundee-based Whaleback City Press.

WN (BILL) HERBERT is a Dundonian poet based in the North-East of England. He has published eight collections with Bloodaxe, from Forked Tongue (1994) to The Wreck of the Fathership (2020). He has edited, among others, Strong Words: modern poets on modern poetry (with Matthew Hollis), and New Boots and Pantisocracies (with Andy Jackson). He has been a Literary Fellow for the Wordsworth Trust, a Professor of Poetry at Newcastle University, and the first Dundee Makar. His Unselected Poems was published by Smokestack Books in 2024.

DOROTHY LAWRENSON comes from a family of Northumbrian pipers. She was born in Dundee, grew up in Fife and now lives in Edinburgh. Her repertoire blends traditional Northumbrian, Scottish and Irish tunes, and she is also an editor, teacher, singer and poet. Her debut poetry collection, Given to the River, will be published by Drunk Muse Press later this month.
