Predators Xtreme Varmint Hunt 2026
Hunting begins January 24th at 12:00PM on the Saturday of the Contest.
Weigh-in is January 25th Sunday on/before 12:30 PM SHARP at Taylor SPJST Hall
Failure to make weigh-in by 12:30 PM sharp will result in disqualification
Entry fee is $200.00 per team, up to 4 members per team.
At registration, the fee will be accepted as CASH ONLY.
Need NOT to be present Saturday if registered early for hunt and paid prior to January 20th.
Stringer Rules:
1. Main pot will be determined by heaviest stringer
2. Stringer will consist of one of each of the following animals: Bobcat, Coyote, Gray Fox and Raccoon.
(Do not need to have one of each to weigh in)
3. Winning team will be subject to a polygraph.
4. Teams are responsible for picking their heaviest of each animal. We are not responsible for weighing
more than one of each species!
5. Side pots will be: Most bobcats, Most dogs, Most grey and/or red fox, Most Raccoons
General Rules:
1. In the event of a tie, winner will be determined by the team who shows up first.
2. No use of Aircrafts or Dogs
3. No Trolling
4. All Teams are responsible for removal and disposal of their animals in a legal manner.
5. No pooling of animals between teams.
6. No hunting over baited areas.
7. All team members must hunt together at all times. No splitting up unless all team members are on the
same piece of property.
8. All animals must be killed within the 24 hour hunting contest time period
9. Thermal and Night vision are allowed.
10. Must follow all county, state and federal hunting laws. If you break the law, your team will be
disqualified. Texas Hunting license is encouraged
11. 4 team members max.
12. All team members must be present on Sunday in order to claim prizes and money. No exceptions!!
13. No trapped, snared, caged raised, or frozen animals will be allowed. Animals will be checked for
freshness
14. No modifying the weight of animals in anyway. We will not weigh in Wet animals
15. Decisions by judges is FINAL (Judges will be participating in the contest)
16. Winning team is subject to take a polygraph test.
17. Failure to check in with judges on Sunday by 12:30pm sharp at the SPIST hall with your
teammates will result in immediate disqualification of your team! NO exceptions!
18. All entries must be paid by 12:00 noon Saturday. NO refunds will be given after 12 noon on Saturday
19. You may hunt anywhere in the state of Texas only
20. You may have landowner with you while on his land, but landowner may not shoot.
21. Rules are subject to change without further notification
22. Judges, contestants and/or anyone affiliated with this contest are not responsible in the event of an
accident and/or laws broken by a contestant or team
