MGV Fall Festival of Plants & Learning Returns to Lake County
The UF/IFAS Extension Lake County Master Gardener Volunteers are inviting the community to a family-friendly celebration this fall with the Fall Festival of Plants & Learning 2025. The two-day event promises a weekend of fun, education, and inspiration for gardeners of all ages.
Set for Saturday, October 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, October 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the festival will take place at the UF/IFAS Extension Office Discovery Gardens, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares.
Visitors can enjoy a full lineup of activities, including:
Local plant vendors offering unique selections.
A Kid’s Discovery Zone with hands-on nature activities.
Educational short talks about plants and gardening practices.
Guided Discovery Gardens tours.
Food trucks serving up local favorites.
Admission is $2.00 per person, with free entry for children 10 and under. Proceeds support Master Gardener Volunteer educational programs and community gardening projects throughout Lake County.
