This year we’re celebrating 15 years of Moana Roller Derby – and what better way than by reviving the infamous Moana scrimmages we all knew and loved!
We’re kicking things off with our first scrim of the year in the venue where it all began 15 years ago – but bigger and better at our brand-new training home in the beautiful Mount Maunganui – and we want YOU on the track (or trackside).
People of all genders and skill levels are welcome – from freshies on the sidelines to seasoned veterans on the track, refs, and NSOs.
From experienced players to newer contact-ready skaters – all leagues welcome. Lace up, roll out, and get amongst it!
Refs & NSOs – we need your whistles, clipboards, and sharp eyes to make the magic happen.
Newer skaters – come trackside and learn how to NSO.
If you’ve never been to a Moana scrim, you’re in for a treat – hard hits, fast packs, laughs, and that unbeatable derby energy we’re famous for. And if you have been? Well, you know exactly why it’s worth the trip.
