On June the 13th 2024, songwriter and producer James Brodie went to go pick up a friend from Auckland Airport. Instead, he left with significant physical and neurological injuries sustained in a car crash. In the months that followed, James would be largely isolated in his cabin in Te Aroha, New Zealand, only leaving for treatment and occasional visits to church and music events. Now- in support of his debut solo project BRIDGE (out August 10th, 2025), James packs up his guitar and his suitcase in preparation for his first ever solo tour, visiting intimate venues around New Zealand in his most stripped back and human shows to date.
In these special shows, James performs with only his guitar, his voice, and stories about recovery and hope in all seasons of life. From struggles with mental health to the vulnerability of recovery and finding hope along the way, James takes off the mask and dives deep into his journey and the music that helped him get through it all.
