This meeting will follow up on previous Taunton Pro Democracy meetings and hopefully welcome new allies who found us through our hosting the Taunton No Kings rally on October 18th.
Our goals for this meeting will be as follows:
*Discussing our short term vision for Taunton Pro Democracy, including a brief description of some underlying concepts in nonviolent direct action, including the “Spectrum of Allies”
*Exploring (or beginning to explore) the priorities, needs, skills, and community connections of attendees
*Developing next steps based on this meeting
We will not be planning or endorsing any violent or illegal acts, and will ask anyone who attempts to steer the conversation in that direction to excuse themselves from the conversation.
While we would like to encourage in-person participation as much as possible, a zoom link will be provided a few days before the meeting, by request. Please email us or send us a facebook message if you would like the Zoom link for this meeting when it is available.
We will be meeting in the Taunton Public Library auditorium.
