Shoplifters

On Wed Nov 26, we are showing the award-winning Japanese film Shoplifters. On the margins of Tokyo, a dysfunctional band of outsiders are united by loyalty, a penchant for petty theft and playful grifting. When the young son is arrested, secrets are exposed that upend their tenuous, below-the-radar existence. The film tells a touching story elegantly – filmmaking at its best.
The Village hall doors & bar open at 7pm, with the film starting at 7.30pm. Also open to guests (£5).
