This autumn we’re excited to be running our very own Open Mic Nights, here in our Spotlight Bar.
How does it work?
Our open mic night is open to all aspiring or established singers, songwriters, and musicians. Whether you’re a solo artist, a duo, or part of a larger group, we wish to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity to play to an audience, whether that’s music of your own creation or a cover version.
The Open Mic is aimed at encouraging live musical performance. Therefore, please note, backing tracks can only be used for your own original songs, not cover versions.
Whilst this event is free, it is essential that you book.
Open Mic Audience tickets
If you wish to come along and support local music but don’t wish to perform, please make sure you select an Open Mic Audience ticket.
Open Mic Performer tickets
If you wish to perform please book an Open Mic Performer ticket and, if there is more than one performer in your group/band, please book an Open Mic Performer ticket for each person. This will let us know who wishes to perform, and separates them from those purchasing an audience ticket. The organisers will then be in touch to check the instruments/setup you have so they can plan ahead.
Why take part?
There are lots of reasons to take part in an event like this; from developing your skills, building confidence in front of an audience, and networking with likeminded people. We think this evening will be a lot of fun, and help shine a light on all of the talented musicians we have in Taunton and the surrounding areas.
So whether you’re a musician, or you just wish to support those that are, come along to our Open Mic Nights this autumn for an incredible evening of music.
